Alex coming back from Germany, Sunday 19 August

Maybe Motherland doesn't even exist as such, but it's a collection of postcards we share with each other.

My grandmother had a beautiful collection of postcards from all around the world, especially from her beloved Italy.

She, herself, never left her tiny apartment, 1B, Drumul Taberei No.15, Bucharest, Romania.
YET, from postcard to postcard, she created for herself an imaginary voyage which she often shared with me.

The sharing made it real.

How important is reality in achieving a certain peace of mind?

Can we have it all?

Yes, we can, but, reality starts with one's own expectations and that is where most of us so readily bite off more than we can chew.
